Periodontology

Periodontics is one of the directions of dentistry, which provides therapeutic and surgical treatment of gum diseases. Gum disease is the most widespread today and threatens not only the teeth but the whole body.

The goal of periodontology is the prevention and treatment of inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases of the fixation tissues (gums, bone, etc.) around the tooth. Periodontal diseases include: gingivitis (inflammation of the gums), periodontitis (an inflammatory disease characterized by the breakdown of bone around the tooth), gingival recession (gingivitis, and bare roots), and perimplants (inflammation of the tissues around the implant).
